MiR AI Camera
The MiR AI Camera enables our robots to better route-planning and driving behavior. MiR AI Camera is a static camera that enables the robots to detect and recognize different moving obstacles and react accordingly.
The MiR AI Cameras are static cameras that are strategically placed. Thereby, they can help the robot avoid high-traffic areas during specific times, such as when goods are regularly delivered and transferred by fork truck, or when large crowds of workers are present, such as during breaks or shift changes. When the robots can foresee blocked areas beforehand, it optimizes the robots navigation.
MiR AI Camera optimizes the robot’s navigation
The next step in the evolution of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) is the addition of artificial intelligence (AI) to increase the capabilities of the mobile robots.
Strategically placed MiR AI Cameras function as an extended set of sensors optimizing MiR robots’ driving behavior. MiR AI Camera detects and recognizes different moving objects and helps MiR robots react efficiently by communicating these detection to MiR Fleet. For example, MiR robots can continue driving normally if a person is nearby, but park in a safe place until a forklift has driven away. Additionally, MiR Fleet can autonomously initiate missions if a specific object is ready to be picked up and deliver it to its intended destination.
Improved interaction with other moving objects
With AI capabilities, MiR robots can efficiently and appropriately react to different types of obstacles to improve navigation and efficiency. They can now distinguish between e.g. AMRs from other manufacturers, AGVs, forklifts, humans, groups of people and adjust their driving pattern accordingly.
