ASTOR and ProCobot strengthen cooperation in the Polish market
ASTOR and ProCobot strengthen cooperation in the Polish market in the area of MiR solutions for robotic intralogistics
Two Polish technology and engineering companies: ASTOR, a provider of cutting-edge industrial technologies for control systems, industrial IT systems (including SCADA software) and mobile industrial robots, and ProCobot, a provider of cobots and mobile robots, join forces in the Polish market.
The partnership and closer cooperation in the distribution of mobile industrial robots (MiRs) is a response to the dynamic development of robotic intralogistics and aims to better serve customers through mutual exchange of experience and knowledge.
Both companies, ASTOR and ProCobot, reported record-breaking financial results for the year 2021. In order to continue their dynamic growth and respond to the enormous market demand, they entered into discussions as early as 2021, which led to the signing of an official agreement for the joint distribution of Mobile Industrial Robots. For the company MiR means an opportunity to reach out even more widely to Polish companies considering automation of intralogistics.
According to the agreement, ProCobot has been a Distributor of MiR products and ASTOR partner since 2022, and ASTOR has MiR Excellent Partner status in Poland. The distribution agreement envisages mutual exchange of experience and design knowledge, development of competences for professional provision of services and education to customers as well as broad promotion of modern solutions for robotic intralogistics and manufacturing.
The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) 2021 report confirms: the dynamics of robotization and automation in intralogistics is increasing significantly. The recovery of the economy is creating increasingly better conditions for Poland to considerably increase robot density in industry in the coming years, which is still low compared to our neighbours.
ProCobot, present on the Polish market since 2013, offers UR cobots, MiRs and innovative service robots for, among others, the Horeca industry.
“Cobotics has always been our passion. We started with education, building awareness about robotisation and finally the first pioneering implementations on the Polish market. We currently have over 600 installed cobots and several hundred satisfied customers at home and abroad, which testifies to our broad knowledge, competence and experience in this industry. The first cobot is the first step towards digitisation and Industry 4.0, which defines the strategic direction of the company's development" - emphasises Paweł Lewandowski, CEO of ProCobot.
ASTOR and we share very similar goals and values. We create a reliable and credible business environment and bring together the latest technologies. All this allows us to adapt even further and meet the ever-increasing market demands. Thanks to the cooperation of ProCobot and ASTOR, more MIR products will be introduced to the Polish market, but most importantly it will assure customers that they will be able to automate intralogistics processes at their facilities with top-level partners. Together we show entrepreneurs how to approach the topic of investment in robotisation to make them aware of the dynamics of industry transformation." - adds Paweł Lewandowski.
ASTOR, which has been operating in manufacturing and industry in the broad sense for over 35 years, together with system integrators, delivers state-of-the-art automation, digitisation, and robotisation technology solutions that bring companies closer to Industry 4.0. These solutions include Kawasaki Robotics and EPSON industrial robots, MiR and Agilox robots as well as advanced intralogistics systems.
"For ASTOR, the last 6 years have been a period of looking for new business opportunities and new markets in which we could grow in the future. One of our discoveries is the market for automation of intralogistics, i.e. internal transport in manufacturing plants by means of innovative technologies. We were able to achieve this by working with MiR from Denmark, which is the pioneer and by far the most innovative company with the most market experience in intelligent intralogistics. It has already delivered tens of thousands of its mobile robots worldwide. Thanks to this cooperation, we were able, firstly, to get to know this market, secondly, to get to know the needs of the customers and thirdly, to build our new business line, which we called the intralogistics business line." – says Jarosław Gracel, CEO of ASTOR.
"A significant part of the sales development in the Polish market is the cooperation with ProCobot, which is a strong partner in both marketing, sales and integration of mobile industrial robots. I am convinced that thanks to the trilateral cooperation with ProCobot and MiR, we will be able to more dynamically expand on the market, handle it better and provide customers with top-quality services." - assures Jarosław Gracel.
Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), a Danish technology company, develops and markets the most advanced line of collaborative and safe autonomous mobile robots (AMR) that handle internal logistics quickly, effortlessly and cost-effectively, allowing employees to perform more valuable tasks. The company has established a global distribution network in more than 60 countries.
ASTOR and ProCobot have also been active in the Association of Employers of the Polish Automation and Robotics Forum (FAiRP) since 2021. The association promotes automation and robotisation processes in Poland and abroad. It brings together the largest Polish companies operating in the automation and robotics market - integrators, solution and service providers as well as machinery manufacturers. The goal of the organisation, co-founded by Stefan Życzkowski (head of ASTOR's strategic council), is to promote and support the development of modern production methods among Polish enterprises, and also to integrate and support Polish companies implementing these solutions. It is a counterbalance to the consolidated western companies in the industry.
