Do you want to shape your own position and do you want to be part of a fast-growing international company?
An exciting workplace
We seek a computer scientist/software engineer for our main office in Odense. If successful, you will be part of our dynamic and ambitious company, whose dedicated colleagues love to make a difference to the working day and create success in the world of robotics.
At our company, engagement, strong working effort and job satisfaction go hand in hand, and since we are already present on the global market as the front-runner in mobile robots, we expect to be the leading international supplier of mobile robots in the coming year.
Huge scope for influencing your work
We offer an exciting and responsible position with excellent opportunities for you to personally shape the position. You will be part of a dedicated software team, which works to further develop the software that is chiefly responsible for the communication between all of the customer’s robots, which we call fleet management. Fleet management is responsible for among other things:
We endeavour to ensure that our products appear unique and can be utilised in many different contexts, and to make our fleet management and robots even more user-friendly.
We work on a Linux-platform and fleet management operates our in-house developed management software written in C++ and Python, and data persistence in a MySQL database.
Communication for the robots is executed via Ethernet and Wi-Fi and uses REST over HTTP.
The fleet management interface is web-based and the data is supplied via the same REST interface and is also accessible for the customer.
It is all built fully-automatically in Bitbucket Pipelines, where unit tests are executed, documentation is generated, etc., and the results are supplied as finished Docker images.
The team works using Scrum, and of course you will be a part of all of the stages, from brainstorming with stakeholders from other departments in the company, to the implementation of solutions and subsequent maintenance and correction of errors.
The successful candidate
You are an experienced computer scientist, software engineer or similar. In addition, ideally you are experienced in software development in C++ and/or Python on a Linux platform, and ideally built up around open source components.
Also ideally, you have experience in distributed/decentral systems and communication over unreliable networks, such as for example, Wi-Fi.
You can quickly get to grips with a problem, find and understand relevant technology and use it to develop the best solution for the customer and with long-term maintenance in mind.
You are inquisitive with regard to new technology and understand how it can improve our products or our processes.
You are outgoing and thrive in an international environment, where a great deal of communication is in English. You work independently and are enterprising, and you are very driven. A sense of responsibility, quality and ownership permeates your work. You are also strongly structured with a well-developed sense for detail.
